The actor that played Neelix on Star Trek Voyager expressed an interest in thru hiking somewhare. .

Should he find the time some day, surelywe'd all prefer to run into him on the Trailt than Clooney.

Oh yes. I would much prefer Neelix over Clooney!! Are you out of your mind?? Hmmm??? Neelix may be the nicest guy in the world, but Clooney?? I would let him carry my tent any day! (You know I am sure that a lot of BS goes on here, but I actually met Clooney when I was playing blackjack at the Venetian in Vegas about 5 yrs ago. I heard his voice and he came over and shook hands and spoke with me. Absolutely could not have been any nicer!!)

I believe that Justice Douglas hiked the C&O Canal, not the AT.
There was a time in the late 1960's/early 70's when the Canal (National Monument) was in rough shape and needed a funding increase and Justice Douglas was involved (successfully) in raising awareness.
He should be a hero to hikers, he was one of us.

That doesn't count, Al Roker is an alien. Didn't you watch the original MIB?

Others have published that this is the same William O. Douglas. I can't say that he is myself, but I believe this is accepted wisdom.

I'll try to get famous before '14 rolls around. Then you can all say "I knew that a-hole when he was tic**f!" I promise not to charge any of you for autographs.

I actually ran into him and his sons on a hike near Pinnacle Mtn. in SC shortly after the scandal. I asked him how his governorship was going and he didn't have much to say.

Probably, just a guess, THE WHOLE FOODS COOKBOOK of which I have a copy. And as for a truly noble, famous, thru-hiker, Justice Douglas as reported by rickb.

Tho she hasn't had the chance yet, American soccer star Abby Wambach has several times expressed an interest in thru-hiking the A.T. I have no doubt she'd not only finish the Trail, she'd OWN it.

Mackey is very outspoken. Just not in a good way when it comes standing up for what he believes in....

Funny you should mention George. He actually IS thruhiking this year. He goes by the name of Sharkey and is hiking with Rummy. He's going to be pissed that I outed him.
