    Default Looking for Water Report

This week I will be hiking from Dick's Creek to the NOC. Can anyone tell about the water conditions along that section right now?
The key to success in achieving a goal is focusing not on how far you have to go, but rather how far you have come.

It's been my experience that the best, most up to date info about water is gotten from folks hiking in the opposite direction than you are.
Once you get on the trail just ask them.

I just (June 23 to 29) went from Deep Gap to Fontana; there was plenty of water everywhere. At the same time that I left Deep Gap going north, there was a group going from there south to Springer. I heard later that they had no water issues either.

One of my favorite hikes to take on short notice. Hiking up Kimsey Creek Trail to the AT is just beautiful!

A lot of time there is NO water at "Big Spring Shelter" near Albert Mtn. I crossed it out on my map and wrote in "No Spring Shelter". That was in Oct, and we had plenty of rain. There was good water every where else. Did winding stair to NOC on Mem Day weekend and there was good water most places.
