I know the shelter is a bit small and seems confining. Are the any tenting areas next to the shelter. Or is the best tenting option south at Birch Glen Camp. Thanks, Mark S

There are a couple of decent tent sites in the woods very near the shelter. They are located across the long trail from the shelter and up a little higher on the hill. There is a fairly obvious spur that goes to them.
