Default Can anyone identify this tent?

I saw this tent on a thru hiker's blog. Can anyone identify the tent he's using for me? Thx.

Sierra Designs makes a model called Lightning. Same style: Big front access with decent vestibule.

Thanks but I don't think that's it. The logo from Sierra Designs appears to be different than the one that's on the front of this tent.

That looks exactly like an MSR Hubba or Hubba Hubba (tough to tell from the angle whether its a one- or two-person), except the colors are all wrong, or at least I've never seen silver/green MSR tents. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Hubbas and Hubba Hubbas have that exact same pole configuration and vestibule size.

North Face uses those colors. I thought it might be the Sputnik, but the poles are on the inside, rather than the outside.

Maybe that fly doesn't go with that tent. From the picture, the fly doesn't look like it fits on the tent very well. Could just be off center. Heck, I have been know to put my fly on backwards. Make it really difficult to get in an out!
Some people take the straight and narrow. Others the road less traveled. I just cut through the woods.

Did you check early entries to the blog? Sometimes they list their equipment.

1+ or you can try emailing them or asking a question if they have a guestbook.

Yes, I did but nothing is listed. He used to hammock so I'm wondering what happened. Looks like a new tent to me. He's still on the trail so I can't communicate with him.

    EMS VELOCITY

Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

Look at the striped text along the bottom right triangle that make up the end, that could be the same stripe in your photo, that and the newer pea green color are the only two indicators i'm basing this on.

And LW my best guess is we are both right... I would not be surprised if EMS asked producers to make a discount run of say 9000 tents under their label - after 20 years in retail it would make a lot of sense. Here is the North Face...and as we can see the door zipper is clearly different.
