Have you talked to your buddy Roadside about this. I read he's a great guy, in one post, a Born Again Christian. You two are very very close, I would'nt want you to hurt his feeling.

The only reason you rant like you do is that you are getting ready to become a Christian, I was exactly like you before I became one. I hated every single Christian that was ever invented and in my thinking I had good reason too. But then "poof!" And here I be....yippeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW... I don't know where the SOBO hiker bubble is right now but I ran into a NOBO, last night, on the trail. I asked him if there were others around him- He said no, not really. LW said he thinks they should be trickling in later this month.

I'm trying to keep water in the shelters b/c it's really dry around here.

I hate to change the subject away from the carving, but I am leaving tomorrow for a section hike from Daleville to Rockfish Gap. Are there shelters without water? I'm arriving late to the trail and was planning to stay at Fullhardt Knob Shelter, how is the water there?

I hope and pray that it true for you too.

While the eventual ultimate goal may to be sell the carvings, I believe a lot of people on White Blaze find them interesting and will look to stop by and see them in person when in Damascus. So even if no one ever buys anything, I believe this holds interest for much (if not most) of the hiking community. Just enjoy the awesome talents that different people have, and try enjoying life more in general. You will probably live longer and healthier that way, and thus get to hike more!
