i used to climb trees and buildings when i was a kid. i remember going back years later to my elementary school . we had found a way to get on top way back when, and when i saw what we used to climb, im thankful im still alive.
i also worked in an amusement park as a mechanic when i was 16-18 yrs old, worked up high all the time.
but now im a bit more tentative.

Spent a summer working on ropes courses. Even doing construction on the course we tied in all the time. Most times just tied into the tree we were working off of.

Most definitely. Between about 9 and 13, I used to hold my .22 almost horizontal to the surface of the water in a local flooded rock quarry and skip bullets across the water. It was fun hearing the ricochet when they bounced off the far rock wall and came back. This was after having scrambled about 150 feet down the steep, copperhead and blacksnake infested rock walls of the old quarry and wading out over slimy, sharp rocks to some boulders that formed a small island midway across. Rumors were that caves existed beneath the water and that people had drowned there, but I never found any when I dove and went looking for them... did find what appeared to be the boom head of a large, fully submerged crane not far beneath the surface, and every once in a while I found things like beach towels and clothing. Not sure how many close calls that counts for, but it was how I spent most of my childhood summer vacations before I discovered chasing girls was more fun than hunting groundhogs and rabbits.

    Forget the charm ....Yup!
Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

Haha .... all these stories are gr8!! Ok, Ok, I'll share one. I'm the only girl, in our family, with 3 younger brothers so I had to "keep up" with them of course. Evidently, I was some kind of pyro when I was in third grade. It was my idea to steal matches to start a small fire with pine needles, then, wait until it "got going good" and then stomp it out. Wheeeee..... fun! The fun ended when we couldn't stomp it out, one time.. The entire pine tree went up in flames. Luckily no one was hurt.... yeah, dumb!!

I was going to ask if you were related to Phyllis Diller and if you had a girlfriend when you were 96. Your editing took all the fun out of that!

Oh I see...you work with the "trees", that are actually living. Interesting to know that HB. We need you to do these things... you should be proud of being a tree rat and you're still alive to tell us about it... that's good too.....

Based on what I've seen from the actions of other fools, I am convinced that the dumbest situations I've ever been in, the ones that have brought me the closest to death are the ones that I am completely oblivious to and am unaware even happened.

If I ever met these idiots that keep creating accounts and posting spam to the message boards I'd probably do something stupid
