Default ZPacks 30 Degree 900 Fill Sleeping Bag

    Hi folks,

Does anybody own this bag? Can anybody speak about it's durability, warmth, construction, general love or hate of it, etc. (all the things distance hikers care about). It is about 7 ounces lighter than the comparable Western Mountaineering bag...I'm wondering how this is possible and if the sacrifice comes in terms of quality and warmth.

Any and all opinions are welcome! (This might be opening the floodgates...)

    Thanks,
    Ranger

I'd guess that half that weight is due to the omission of a hood. The Zpack's balaclava weighs 1.3 ounces. Iirc, this sleeping bag is quite narrow. Whether or not those are an issue depends on how you use it.
