Slogger, I was in the nickle oh nasty from 73-75 in Mianz and then in Vicenza.

I can still see the main gate at Lee Barracks.
I rotated out in March 71, just about the time the rumors about Vicenza were starting to surface. When you were there in Mainz was the jump school still running out in Erbenheim at Wiesbaden Air Base ?? While in the 1/509 I was assigned to the jump school as an instructor - Those were the good old days !!

I caught the very last early retirement option and retired at 15 years active service. I was in the Air Force and worked on the electronics on fighter aircraft. I served in Korea, Panama (Just Cause), The Philipines, Saudi Arabia (Desert Storm) and the UAE.
