    Default Spaulding Mountain Lean-to

    The lean-to sleeps about eight and has the traditional flat floor, rather than the baseball bat ones seen elsewhere in Maine. Porkys must be around (or thru's have been really hungry... ) as there are quite a few chunks taken out of the boards, even with the deacon seat. If you get there first, set up on the right side (when facing the shelter.) One of the skylight things on the left is currently leaking.

    Water is fairly close to the shelter and there is room for at least two tents at the front of the shelter.

    I stayed there in June. Right side was leaking.
    I am not young enough to know everything.
