    What was he wearing? I bet he had at least a heavy fleece jacket along with some heavy pants and socks.

    He is seriously pissed at me because I tried to convince him to use the "stupid pad." And he wasn't wearing a jacket or pants. He slept on his side mostly so I don't know if that keeps you warmer or not.

    He has slept in it two times since I last posted and said he was completely fine. He is taking it out for a few days in a row this weekend.

    i've used a hammock several times while backpacking. in warm weather, they work fabulously without a pad of any sort.. but the times that i have tried sleeping in one sans pad during cooler temperatures, i have frozen my butt off. worse than sleeping on the cold ground.
    all of us have a place in history. mine is clouds.
