    Smile Hello Everyone!

My name is P.J. and I just wanted to say hello. I am in the planning stages of fulfilling a life long dream of hiking the entire AT. I grew up about 2 minutes away from the RPH Cabin, on the AT in Hopewell Jct, NY and have always wanted to see the entire trail. I am in pretty good physical condition, so I think the issue I will have is to overcome it the psychological part of it. Being away from my daughter, who is still a toddler, for 5 or so months. I am looking at doing a SOBO thru-hike in June 06. I'll probably have lots of questions, so please bear with me. I look forward to getting to know you guys and I'll see ya around the forum. Take care!

I always envied the northerners that were hiking, home. That said I will always be a NOBO. Sue/HH

Thanks for the welcome! I am looking at SOBO because of my schedule as Nean correctly guessed. I wish I could go NOBO, but at this point it doesn't look like a possibility. Things may change for me and nothing is set in stone at this point. This site is awesome, I am learning so much!
