Default A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Just move your cursor over the pictures below to enlarge. Shown (not in order) are food supplements, Lin Lok and yellow slide bar tensioners for tie outs, etc., carabiners, bear bag/clothes line, collapsible water bowl, collapsible 48 oz. water canteen, and the Richard Solo battery pack for recharging on the go. The shower curtain clips are handy for attaching your bandana to your shoulder strap. The canteen is handy for extra water at your site, eliminating several trips to the source, and the line tensioners allow you to set your tie outs in seconds with proper tension.

Hope this helps a bit. Happy hiking.

I never thought of using shower curtain clips as makeshift carabiners....good idea!

Sorry, forgot the image of the yellow slide line tensioner. Two sizes if I remember correctly. This is the smaller of the two. Works great for your tie out lines.

A better, more versatile tripod is a gorilla pod.

That's a lot of carabiners. I carry a little keychain 'biner for hanging my bearbag, and maybe a couple of utility 'biners for this and for that. What are the others for?
I always know where I am. I'm right here.

That's all I use, as shown in the picture on a previous post, "Shower Curtain Clips for Caribiners", illustrates. Just hold your cursor over the picture to enlarge it to see what I mean. I prefer the smaller mini type, as you do The picture I posted just gives an idea of the different types and sizes one may have to choose from. The extras shown are just part of my gear I've accumulated by trial and error.

I picked those up at REI when I lived in Atlanta. They might be available online from them. The Lin Loc tensioners work just as well, and both types make it so simple to set your tie outs. Just move your cursor over the pictures below to enlarge to see what I'm talking about. Hope this helps.

Sorry, forgot to add. http://www.clamcleat.com/cleats/cleats.asp?menuid=7 Check out this link for more info on Lin Lok. Once I found them, in different sizes, I gave the yellow ones away to friends I met when I was hiking on the AT, and now use Lin Lok exclusively for tie outs and also to hang my HH. I think they work the best, but it's a personal choice. Hope this helps.
