It is the AT Kick-Off Celebration at Amicalola Falls State Park Lodge the weekend of March 8 - 10. There will be vendors and presentations. We have been there the last 2 years and it is an enjoyable event at a beautiful location.

I might possibly stop in for a night as that is right around the time I will be arriving at Springer from the BMT before heading north on my hike.

i'll be section hiking up to Unicoi Gap with plans to get off the 8th or 9th (my son will be thru hiking). If that works, i'll stop by for an afternoon and catch a couple seminars before heading home.

I was planning on starting well before this event but the IRS has delayed making a form available that my accountant needs to finish my business taxes. If I get delayed enough I might go.

    Default ATKO 2014 attendance

Planning to be there and stay at the tent spot ($5 per night). So far have been unsuccessful in reserving a spot; waiting on reply to second message left.

The tent spot is an open field. No reservations needed. They like to get an idea of attendance, but closer to Spring.
