Deep Gap to Fontana Dam

Whats there to see between deep gap and fontana? Anything cool? how the terrain and such? thinking about maybe doing a hike thru there.

Just hiked that last year....lots of great views (Mt. Albert, Wayah Bald, Jump-In, Jump-Off, Cheoah Bald) just to name a few. Then stop at the NOC for a shower and some great food.

Siler's Bald and Wesser Tower for views can't be beat. Great section.

My 20-something newbie daughter and I hike that section in mid-May. Great section, and easier than I anticipated. A number of nice views; microbrewed beer on a sunny afternoon by the river (NOC); decent weather; a number of blooming flowers; not too many people.
