Yes, until KFC genetically modifies the chicken to walk on it's wings!

Remember when chiken wings were the cheap part?

Hikernet still won't have any privies in the Smokies.Instead they will hand out red bags like the disabled cruise line so hikers can do their business in and carry out following LNT principles.

The bags are easier to throw into the woods without getting your hands dirty!

I think you're being pretty optomistic, you really believe there will be a trail in 2063...

By then you'll probably need to get a permit from Beijing.

    Let's see :

Springer to Katahdin, then north to Canada. Hang a left and go trans-Canada through the Yukon into Alaska. Hike up to Sarah's house (Where you can see Russia in the distance ) Cross on the ice in the frozen Bering Strait into Russia. Head south into China to Beijing. Make a side trip to North Korea to visit the dictator (Tell them you are Dennis Rodman ) and view their latest nuclear test. Head west to India, then up to the Middle Eastern countries. Have an interesting visit with the fanatics along the way! Cut thru Turkey (nice people, as long as you don't tick them off ) into Europe. Hike to Germany and enjoy the Oktoberfest , then into France. Hike thru the Chunnel into England. Then to the Scottish Highlands (Where you can hike in your kilt without getting a bunch of wise-ass remarks and lewd suggestions! ). Crossing the Atlantic is your problem!

You forgot to mention the handicapped "lane" running alongside the trail, which will spawn numerous threads every year on whether its ethical or not to walk on this paved area instead of the actual trail.

There was mention of a "3' wide black top path...G2M"; forgotten however, was the free WIFI at all shelters.

The EPA will oulaw farting in the shelters due to global warming, OSHA will require safety helmets on the trail at all times, TSA will require a body cavity search at Springer before entering, Heet will cost $5.00 for a 12 oz bottle with a $75.00 fuel tax (if you can sneek it past the TSA search dogs), HUD will require your income be below the poverty level to stay in a shelter (income under $2,245,890, which is also the average weekly grocery bill), there will be more ridge runners than hikers on the trail.
