Saw this off a blue blaze trail in PA...Blue Rocks Campground a couple summers ago, thought it funny, as it was outside a persons trailer.I'd have to say the Tornado.jpg
wish I had the picture of it , but while doing a job at a Prop Shop for McCarter theater in Princeton University, there was a small window glass that had a saying etched in it...
Time + tragedy = Comedy...always liked that one, and seems pertinent here.

I got this trail sign from a hiking site for Portland OR hikers but this one could apply to the AT section in Troutville VA... LOL!
Love it. Saw this one somewhere up in New York:

thats suppose to be "Swinging Lick Gap" some Smartass changed.
Don't have a photo, but have seen many times on roadways: When flashing, stop.
Good advice.

approaching Glencliff NH from the south, I think.
Was hiking around Fahnestock state park when we came cross a sign with a map of the various trails around the lake. Debating whether to take the blue blaze down to the beach and concession area we paused for a moment to read the sign. The trails were all graded with degrees of difficulty and we noticed with a little giggle that the AT was marked "Expert." As we hiked to RPH shelter that afternoon we couldn't resist referring to the AT as the "expert trail" or for "experts" only, especially my 7 year old son.
2,000 miler. Still keepin' on keepin' on.
Not on the AT, but still my favorite place to chow down. lickachk.jpg
