Wow -- it's been over eleven years since anyone has had anything to say about this place.
I'll guess I'll be the one to say that not much has changed. It's still your typical shelter

very close to The Trail; with a fire ring, covered privy, and nearby water source (presently flowing quite nicely).
I was frankly amazed by how clean the place is; I guess the trash hikers, who think they have the right to "carry in, dump where *I* want to", haven't gotten there yet.
The only thing I would add is that, when I was there late last week, two guys had left some VERY nice trail magic. No guarantees, as it could all be gone by now. But if you're nearby, don't bypass the place before you head up Mount Moosilauke.
