I just retired from the Marine Corps on OCT 1st and this hike is something that I have wanted to do for a long time, it is the beginning to the next chapter of my life. I plan to spend the night at the hiker hostel and head out on the morning of the 12 on the approach trail.

I just graduated from the University of Tennessee.. GO VOLS! I love hiking and nature and getting my mind out there. So I figured what better way to do that than to hike the AT. I was in the Army for 6 1/2 years, got out and went to college. Just graduated and have the time to do this finally. I've been wanting to hike the AT since learning about it 6 years ago. Can't wait to get out there.

As stated on the spreadsheet, I had a start date of 04/2014, nobo, trail name of spook.

I now plan to flip flop from Delaware Water Gap beginning 5/22/2014. Afterwards, I'll return there for the sobo leg.
