Can anyone recommend an attractive hiking dress for a middle-aged, overweight woman?

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime; give a man religion and he will die praying for a fish.

You might find something you like at Terry Bicycles. They have both dresses and tunics (worn with shorts or leggings of some sort). They have sizing charts, or you can just call their customer service and ask about specific measurements. This dress is XL and XXL: http://www.terrybicycles.com/Plus/Pl...nce-Dress-Plus

This one also goes up to XXL: http://www.terrybicycles.com/Apparel/skorts/Julie-Dress

Here is the page with the other dresses/tunics: http://www.terrybicycles.com/Search?search=dress

Nuu-Muu goes up to size 18, though they're sold out of some patterns: http://shop.nuu-muu.com/collections/...olette-nuu-muu

If you don't want to make a big investment, I've also seen quite a few things at Target that could work if you're doing mostly day hiking or short trips. Their plus sizes are a bit more generous than most athlete-specific gear.

Cabela's has been another place I've found more plus size selections. This one is on sale!: http://bit.ly/11rMANC

Hope that gives you some options and places to look, at least!
