Rendezvous Motel, Pearisburg VA - gone!
It burned down a month ago... Don't send your mail drops there, or expect them to answer the phone!
Always a good idea to call before sending a maildrop to anyplace other than a Post Office. Heck, these days you might want to call the POs, too, as they seem to be shutting down or have limited hours.
Hard to believe they're not there! We had a very comfortable stay there after sliding down from Angel's Rest in the mud. Another memory that will never be recaptured.
"Are we there yet?"
Was that the place across from the car dealership? Kind of ghetto? I think I held up there for a few days while Sandy beat down the trail...wow, burned down?
There is another post around here somewhere with pictures and all, if you want to look for it - that might help identify which place it was.
