An attempt will be made to take get this phone in the hands of someone who can recharge it and/or access stored phone numbers. If the effort to return this phone to its owners fails, this phone will handed over to a non-profit that collects cell phones for recycling.

You do know that all you have to do is turn it in to the carrier and they will contact the owner, right?! I've done that when finding an uncharged cell phone on a trail.
