I purchased the new bags and they are different. I can't speak of durability yet.

Can you weight them? Changing the color of the ink should not change the weight, so if they are measurably heavier that would be a good indication.

I just got my Sawyer squeeze in from REI but haven't got to try it out yet. There are a lot of mods for the filter on the Hammock Forum site. It's a little disappointing seeing the lack of support from the Sawyer company. I had a part break on my Katadyn Hiker and sent them an email. They responded the next day and sent me all the stuff I needed to fix the filter. Sounds more like Sawyer is just going to blame the user anytime there is an issue. Either way it seems to be a winner of a filter.

Not much change. I don't see how the bags could be much different with only a 7 gram change from the original.

OK, now sacrifice your new bag, cut it open and tell us what the inside looks like

OK not really. But if you do have a blow out, it would be nice to be able to compare the material side by side with the old.
