I have friends who swear by the "Royal Inn." Reasonable prices and very friendly to hikers.

I don't know if you want to spend money for it but I would recommend the General Francis Marion hotel. While in town you might also consider picking up a Packa from Cedar Tree. He lives just outside of town.

I've stayed at the Econo Lodge twice in Marion on section hikes, it's reasonable priced and clean. Just down the street from the Greyhound stop.

    Ditto the EconoLodge.
You never know just what you can do until you realize you absolutely have to do it.
