I've inherated a Magellan eXplorist 210 GPS (unused). From what I can figure it is about 6 years old.

Is it worth hooking up and learning how to use? or is it already outdated?

Years for electronics/technology in general are about equivalent to dog years. Your call. I guess it all depends on what you'd want to use it for.

Yep... What it'd be really good for is retracing your steps and finding your way back to where you started.

What about using for geocaching most of the time you just gotta get close and follow the clues.
