the sharpie culture has been around far too long for any meaningful sharpie control legislation to have much if any effect on graffiti reduction. we need to look at the underlying egocentric causes of graffiti, both urban and rural, to gain a better understanding as to why cave paintings ever existed.

I suppose signs can be replaced etc.. and sharpies, well, they just can't do too much damage on huge rocks on the AT.

I'm with you DeerPath, my heart sunk when I hiked up to Hay Rock just above Daleville and saw that huge, once beautiful rock, just covered in graffiti. You can't even see the natural rock, in places. It's completely ruined. I think spray paint was involved. Ugggg!!!

I agree...................hate it. Defacing man-made things is one thing (not a huge fan) But defacing nature? NO WAY!!

Agree 100% MilkMan....I even like the sentiment of the flag....but would rather see a flag pole and light put on it than someones art work....

and doesn't the heart go in the middle of the two....must have been and after thought, can't be true love

Just came back from a walk with too much weight on my back. I noticed someone spray painted numbers on the tarred bike path I was walking on. The numbers looked professional and all. They even had a pattern to them. They increased by .25 every 440 yards.
