Abington PA is a suburb of Philly and Abington MA is a suburb of MA, so if you do a google search on homicides in Abington you are not going to find anything in VA. The only online news outlet that covers Abington VA (Washington County) is Southwestern VA news. The only thing that seems to be thru hiker related was that goofball driving thru Trail Days in Damascus. Nothing major happened in Abington. If it was murder it would have made front page headlines.

This hiker died of natural causes. His sister called me a couple of months back to tell me that the autopsy said his heart just stopped and there were no drugs in his system
