"I never did give anybody hell. I just told the truth and they thought it was hell"! - Harry Truman
To those wishing ill on "old people." There are ample gray haired geezer hikers/wannabe hikers that think they can still mix in and party with the 20-something hikers and get just as drunk/high as the kids. They may be "old" on the calendar but they're still immature kids in the head.
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
Truly disheartening what has happened to our fellow Brothers and Sisters, maiming of body and flesh. Regardless the situation, whether it was "medical" and or "mental", people all be it may not know any of the hikers harmed, regardless were all family. Hoping for full recovery, both for the hikers injured, as well as the CLASS OF 2013 to finish, all be it safely, onward and upward, to finish this heart aching journey, now sadly sullied with terrible cost.
Fox News just reported 50-60 injured
If you can’t fix it with duct tape or a beer; it ain’t worth fixing
There is no doubt that this is certainly a tragedy, and we should all be praying for the injured, but it could have been a lot worse! 5:09
Jim Wozniak with Wellmont Health System says two patients were flown into Bristol Regional Medical Center by helicopter and he says the hospital doesn't expect more patients to be transported there. Again, Wozniak tells News Channel 11 those patients are in good condition.

Spokesperson for Johnston Memorial Hospital reports they have gotten 7 patients from the crash in Damascus. None of the patients at that hospital have life threatening injuries. They don't expect any more patients from that accident. *** via news feed at: http://www.wjhl.com/story/22289159/b...ultiple-people

Somehow, the name of the OP and the content of the post struck me as funny. Probably WB can be our best (or worst) up-to-date source of information. Thanks, Heavyfoot.
You never know just what you can do until you realize you absolutely have to do it.

I have watched a video that includes clear shotof driver seconds after and he was clearly in a distressed state.
Do not make ill informed judgements.
The true facts will out in time.
Just be concerned for all involved.
More info on CNN.com

Thanks for posting live video...Heard from my son (Thru Hiker "Long Island") at 7:00pm who miraculously stepped out of the parade seconds prior to this tragedy to walk ahead and take pics...As of 7:00pm this evening, he told me Damascus is basically on lock down and hikers are trying to get info about the condition of other fellow hikers that haven't been accounted for yet...It's a somber scene. My prayers are with everyone...
