Default Recent shuttle info to northern terminus

I am looking to hike the LT and am looking for any recent info on shuttle services to the northern terminus. I am from California although I hiked the LT in 1992 I am sure many things have changed. Appreciate any info concerning transportation in that area. I will be getting there from NY.

Not sure who is shuttling this year, but you could try the bus from Burlington to Richford-

You'd have to hitch the last 16 miles to Journeys end. Or about 8 miles to the where the trail crosses VT Rte 105.

thanks for that info, first time I'd seen bus service that far north (Richford). I'm planning to hike the LT in September, and also looking for transportation from North Troy to Burlington

One alternative to getting out from the Northern Terminus is to double back from the Canadian border to Rt. 105 - it should actually be shorter than going out Journey's End trail and Journey's End road and 105 should have more traffic than North Jay road. This was my basic plan (though I hoped I'd be able to meet someone finishing the same time as I did who had a ride arranged) when I did a NOBO before. I got lucky and met a local I'd hiked with before while doing the trail and he agreed to meet me at Journey's End. This will also be my plan this year as I do another NOBO.
