Default AT Section near TN Recommendation

Hello. My friends and I are looking for a section of the AT to do in about 5 days at a semi-leisurely pace. We are looking for a section around 30-40 miles long somewhere near TN, and were hoping for some recommendations. It doesn’t necessarily have to be in TN, just somewhere in the region. We are fairly experienced hikers so we are looking for somewhere with scenic views and a little challenge. We have hiked Carvers Gap to Dennis cove in the past and has been one of favorite hikes so far. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hard to beat Hot Springs to Erwin.
I'm not really a hiker, I just play one on White Blaze.

You could also try Mt. Rogers from the NRA Headquarters to Damascus.

+1 on that. Or the reverse.

+1 I just did that hike this past weekend starting from Massie Gap, heading North on the AT to the Pine Mtn trail, then south on the AT to Damascus. Very nice hike.
