Thread: need ride

    Default need ride

I am their hiking and just got to Waynesboro. I need to get a ride to Atlanta for a wedding on June 15. I am taking a few days off so I suspect I will still be in the Shennandoahs. Any ideas welcomed. Thanks

Don't take a few days off. Keep hiking to Harpers Ferry and take the commuter train into DC then take Amtrak to Atlanta. It is only 160 miles and very easy terrain. You should easily be able to knock that out in 10 days if you have been hiking since GA. Between Waynesboro and HF there is not much in the way of transportation besides paying for an expensive shuttle.

I have to take time off as my family is picking me up and we are car camping the next 4 days.

Have your family drive you to the nearest bus/train station?

A wedding? I'd blow it off and keep trucking.
