We live about 3 miles from the LT/At where it crosses Route 140 in Wallingford, VT. I take a short walk on the trail about every day. Meet a Sobo today, Buckeye. He was doing great and in great spirits.
Direct line - about 9063 miles.

35 miles to the Route 55 trail crossing
4 miles...
I'm jealous of those who live close to the AT...
I'm 400 miles from Harper's Ferry, WV.

Too Damn far! thanks for reminding me
Well, the American Discovery Trail (ADT) crosses Scioto Trail State Park not a mile from my front door. The ADT crosses the AT where they meet at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park in West Virginia. If I turned east on the ADT, I could be on the AT in about two weeks.
But then which way would I turn?

20 miles. We used to get out of school when it would snow on top of Amicalola Falls.
About 15 minutes.
"Just trying to keep life simple."
2.7 miles to the Chester gap part by front royal. I love it cause i can go to harpers ferry or the snp whenever i want.
Looks to be a 530 mile trip for me to get to Springer. Maybe I should start in January...
Pretty close, but it still feels too far sometimes. I can easily get out ro do day hikes and sections every once in a while. I'm about 30 minutes from Harriman State Park and about 40 from Fahenstock (sp?).

One of the lucky ones... I live less than a half-mile, in Dennis Cove... across the road from Kincora.
