Default From Woody's Gap to Gooch Gap Shelter: Is it shut down?

First off, I hope this is the right section to post this concern.

I have been assuming that Woody's Gap has not been shut down due to the government's issues. A fellow co-worker told me that I may want to check before riding up there this weekend.

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Allen

I was hiking in that area a week and a half ago (during the shutdown), the parking at Woody gap was open, but the someone mentioned that the restroom facilities at the trailhead were locked (I didn't check them personally). Otherwise, the trail is open and the fall colors are looking nice.

Yes, as OgreJon says. Did Springer to Woody this past weekend. Oh, by the way, the trash cans were very full and about to spill out of the bear-proof lid while I was there this past Sunday morning. The parking lot was full of cars and some were lining both sides of the highway. Must have been about 40 or 50+ vehicles!
