    The linked video makes me wonder, if you spray your T-Shirt with the stuff, how do you manage to wash the shirt afterwards?

    That'd be a biggest downside. It'll still be nice for packable fabrics like tents and rain gear, allowing gear to be put away dry.

    There is nothing new here. These products have existed for decades or centuries in one form or another. Beeswax, oilcloth, thousands of plastic coatings are available. They all work for while. Most won't survive a washing machine and almost all have side effects like stiffness, smell, reaction to other chemicals. Save your money folks.
