Default Taba - Palmetto Trail question

    Hope Taba is lurking....

The Palmetto trail - is it similar to the MST in that you have to work with locals and depend on people for camping spots because it goes through long stretches of populated areas?

Resupply - can you hit up a store every 2-3 days?

Bought your manual and can't find the durn thing now.

Hey 10K, The Palmetto Trail is quite similiar to the MST. I have tried to list everything you will need to hike this trail effectively. However having only hiked it once I may have had to leave you on your own in some locations for camping. Resupply options are well within easy hiking distances. Each section in the Manual is no more than 58 or 59 miles and they go from resupply spot to resupply spot or to campgrounds with resupply options within those sections. It really is a wonderful adventure and set up for thru-hiking now. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. I am currently hiking now and may be in the woods for days at a time so be patient with me and I will reply as soon as I can. Enjoy your hike!
