Default wedding rain gear and other advice

I come to my whiteblaze family for advice when i really need it. my daughter is getting married this saturday -- on the beach, with severe thunderstorms more than likely. what rain gear would you suggest the guests wear? do you have any grounding tips? got any suggestions for footwear for really wet sand? can we plan on evaporative cooling keeping the beer cold? which patagonia wedding dress will dry the quickest?

You don't wear rain gear on the beach when t-storms are around. VERY quick way to reduce the number of the wedding party. Has either the bride or groom been asking about life insurance for the other????

Only good footwear for wet sand is bare feet - did this for my #2 son's wedding and again for a good friends of ours.

    I don't drink beer - no plan.

I wasn't able to afford a name brand wedding dress...... never mind. Another thread.

Learned this on the trail this year... put a beer in a wet sock. The evaporation of the sock will cool the beer.

They probably make white driducks... You can put powder soap in your hair, when the rain comes, scrub a dub. Rinse in the ocean and repeat.

    Congratulations to your daughter!

Forget the dress and the rain gear, and just go naked!

.................................................. ....................Uhh, this may seem like it involves MANY MANY problems but may I suggest you move the wedding indoors?

Good news for all the guests. Walmart just put Reynolds aluminum wrap on sale. Use it to fashion great rain hats and galoshes. Don't let a few thunderstorms put a damper on a beach wedding. Don't forget. The bride and groom can wear their swim trunks and bikini. That's if you're daughter is marrying the opposite sex. Always gotta be thinking outside of the traditional marriage box these days. See I can be progressive too.

    Umbrellas !

I'm so confused, I'm not sure if I lost my horse or found a rope.
