I miss the trail today.
I'm sitting in this office and thinking on a group of people heading North! I did the trail in 94 and I'm missing the trail and adventure today. The things we do for our kids!

We will never conquer a mountain. The mountain allows us to visit and with enough time asks us to kindly go back down. And then sits in peace with or without our presence. me.
Although I've never thru hiked I've been missing the trail myself lately. As a remedy for that I'll be taking my 7 year old on a day hike up Blood Mountain in a few days. I'll take what I can get....

Was on the trail all last week with a buddy I haven't hiked with in 5 years. Even though that was recent, I'm missing being out there, too. Wish I had taken a couple or three weeks...
