I know this is prime season to be out camping or hiking, but I spent the afternoon making myself a top quilt. I'm planing to do a Long Trail thru hike mid-August.
Nitty Gritty details:

CN:
Sew thru, no bells or whistles, for use in a hammock, summer only.
Used loose Permloft in 10 baffles. Had a goal of 1.5" loft. Ended up with 2.25" max (~1.5" median loft).
Used 1.1 ripstop from http://www.backwoodsdaydreamer.com/.
Total: 431 grams / 15.2 oz. Less than $30 spent.

For 3 edges, I use a straight stitch with a zigzag outboard - zig zag for strength, the straight stitch to look pretty when I made it right side out. Just sewed right through for the chambers/baffles. Last edge was rolled and that was it. Took me around 90 minutes to make it, including the 6" I sewed one baffle through the adjoining chamber. 1.1 is a whole lot tougher to use than 1.9!
