Long version of "Relax" by Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
My goto power song whether training or needing help getting over that next hill.
Allman Brothers- burned myself out a bit- but perhaps a good time to revisit a few of their jam's. I've got a live version of celebrate by Rare Earth that's long enough to be it's own playlist. Chiefduffy- I prefer Layla on the Unplugged CD- of course that whole album makes a fine playlist of it's own. Never got into the Dead much Rocketsocks- but likely the king of long song jams to be sure.
Down by the River, Neil Young
Cortez the Killer, Neil Young
The two long medleys that take up most of side two (on vinyl) on the Beatles' Abbey Road
Do You Feel Like I do .... Live, Peter Frampton
Yeah they do do some long jams.
On a different note...
I also like playing theme albums as a single play, like...
Willie Nelsons 1977 "The Red Headed Stranger"

and Utopia's "Singring and the Glass Guitar"

and the Grateful Dead's "Terrapin Station"....just to name a couple a few

Someone mentioned Vivaldi's 4 seasons, good pick. I offer J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations - preferably Glenn Gould's second recording of same.
Can't do the classical myself- prefer Jazz- Dave Brubek, Miles, Stan Getz, Armstrong- and on...
did wake everbody up at uncle johnnies with ride of the valkeries once

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. -Kahlil Gibran
Telegraph Road-Live on the Money For Nothing album. Dire Straits
In a classical vein. With ties to the outdoors and long hikes.
The Planets. Holst
Symphony No. 9 in E minor, From the New World. Antonín Dvořák
The Alpine Symphony. Richard Strauss
Appalachian Spring. Aaron Copland
Time Out. Dave Brubeck Quartet. The Dave Brubeck Quartet was my first live music experience. Time Out was the first album I bought with my own money.
