Default Parking near the James Fry Shelter

    I'm looking at: http://web.eecs.utk.edu/~dunigan/goo...&trk=atparking

There appears to be parking near the James Fry Shelter but I can't find it on Google Street Maps....can anyone tell me if there is parking? I'm looking to leave a vehicle near there for the weekend.

    Thanks

Yes there is a small area at the "V" in the road where the trail crosses Hunters Run Rd at the intersection of Green Mt. Rd and Hunters Run. There is enough room for 2 vehicles. I would however suggest you use the parking lot on RT 34 just south of the Green Mt. Store. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 717 352 2279 ask for BIRCHY......

I guess you could do that but then you have a little road walk down to the trail crossing. The small lot I was talking about is 20 feet from where the trail crosses Hunters Run Rd about .04 north of the Shelter trail. It is not really a parking lot but merely a pull off point at the "V" in the road. I have left my vehicle there several times with no problems.
