Default Rain, Rain Rain Atkins to Damascus

Just finished a five day hike from Atkins VA to near Damascus. I have hiked it before but this time it rained everyday and almost all day except for a few brief moments of Sunshine. The local people said it has rained more than they can remember, almost triple the normal amount. Still a beautiful hike but much of the trail was a small stream but was pleased with my new Solomon trails shoes and there durability in water. Nice of the locals blueberry pickers camping at Scales for there generosity of food , blueberries and just super friendliness.

most folks on the east coast are plain tired of this summer's rain, setting all kinds of records. That is a pretty section, I hiked it last October during peak fall colors, loved that section.

Cool and wet down here too. In fact, it's raining right now.
