FS 293 to Mountaineer Shelter at night

I know the terrain isnt bad but are there good tenting spots around this area? If so how close to the shelter?

There is a campsite about .2 trail south of the Mountaineer falls. There are signs marking the turn. I haven't been up to the tenting area so im unable to give you more info. There is another campsite about 1 mile north of the shelter
