    Default Good breakfast find

I found a granola cereal that's a good meal for the way I like to eat breakfast, in the sleeping bag before I get up. Found this at Walmart, Bear Naked (like that name) granola, has 140 calories/1/4 cup and 6 grams of protein. I'll put 1-1/4 cups in a ziplock along with a couple tablespoons of honey and 1/3 cup powdered milk (= 1 cup hydrated) and I've got close to 1000 calories and 35-40 grams of protein for breakfast, just add a little water and eat.

Bear Naked is good, though I may be biased. The company was originally started by two of my classmates who grew it into a national brand and then sold it to Kellogg's. I especially like the chocolate granola they make as a snack while I'm hiking.

I love their chocolate granola. I mix it with strawberry yogurt for breakfast.

I also eat granola for breakfast on the trail. If its cold and I want something warm I'll heat the water for the milk, mix then add it.

I love Bear Naked but I've recently just started making my own granola and cereal. I know exactly what's in it, exactly when and where it was made and it's cheaper. I've become a little obsessed with making Muesli lately.
Cash Crate - it's not hiking but it helps make pocket change.
