When do you guys think he gets off? I'm thinking a night on blood mountain in a snow storm will do the trick. Does he carry a thru hiker companion?

I think I am even more excited to watch this journey unfold as I was with Matt Kirk's. I guarantee it will have a higher entertainment value.

I actually wish the guy well.
I think he is biting off more than he can chew though.
    Actually, I know it.

Hes proclaiming he can hike for basically 3 yrs straight, 14,000 miles.
The cost would be expected to be about $28,000 @ $2/mile

He has no money, no experience sans a 75mile disaster of a first hike.

In the words of Ron White...."You cant fix stupid"

Honestly though, hes not the stupid one. Anyone that would contribute financially to his endeavor is.
Its not illegal, but its obviously a swindle just the same.
There is no reasonable way the people involved in this actually believe he can pull it off, and I dont think they do. Therefore, everything they are doing is under false pretenses.

Some of the members of the meeting place group need to remember to keep the chat type posting in the groups area. This is the second time this has been asked.

Lot of derogatory comments directed his way. Then there were the drug posts, and the endeavor is turning commercial as well. Closed.

Dakota Joe has a facebook page that you can follow along if you like. He's talking about hiking 15,800 miles or so. Finish Springer to Katahdin and we can reconsider reopening this.
