What a tremendous accomplishment. I'm in total awe. Was she using titanium cutlery?

Anyone can do the supported lunch, only real lunchers eat unsupported.

Everyone knows the real challenge is dinner. Anyone can do the easier lunch challenge.

Appetizer to dessert OR dessert to appetizer? Which is tougher? Is there a separate record for each direction?

Anish is awesome and I first saw this on her Facebook page. Those of us who went thru Marine Corps boot camp know who the real speed eaters are.

I think she skipped a blaze or two. Definitely not a purist lunch eater in my book.

That's great. I wish there were more data so I could chart the lunch.

I can tell you from my study of PCT backpackers at trailjournals.com that the "average" is seven chews before swallowing on the salad course, three chews before swallowing on the soup course and then people really get slowed down by the "high sierra" sandwich course to 12.5 chews before swallowing. Anish states clearly in the article that she did no chewing at all which makes her accomplishment all the more amazing.

Gotta Go Gotta Go Gotta be somewhere else. Gotta eat Gotta eat Gotta be going.

Anish must be eating four forkfuls. Look at how small her meal is.
