    Default Trail Closures in Pa?

Do the trail closures affect anything between Pen Mar Park, Md. and Boiling Springs, Pa. (except for the Mid-Atlantic ATC Office)?

Actually, the answer is yes. It's mostly state land, however NPS owns the land the trail is on from the Md line to Rt. 16, from Pine Grove Road (north of Fry Shelter) to Rt. 34, and from Rt. 94 to Boiling Springs.

Do you know if NPS is turning hikers away from that area? Any feedback?

Nobody there to do that. That was hashed out on the other thread....
Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

You forgot about the 0.6 miles around the Shippensburg Rd trailhead.... But there are no federal officers patrolling those sections

Thanks for the info folks. Yes Wise Old Owl, I read the other thread. However, I've also read that there is great variation in how this is being enforced, so I was asking specifically about this section.

BTW, to where was this thread moved?
