Looking for route advice mt Rogers/Grayson area challenging 2.5 day loop

Going to be a few hours away next week from Damascus. Looking for good loop hike for me and my dog. Both in good hiking condition. Would prefer loop but also considering doing the 40 mile section from 603 south to Damascus. Any suggestions apriciated as I've never hiked this area.

603 to Damacus in a Great hike, go for it, plenty of great shuttlers out of Damascus. I just did this 2 weeks ago & you might hit it at prime leaf colors? Enjoy!
