    Absolutely wonderful! I grew up hiking in these mountains and its a great thing to see such a big donation for their protection.

    Awesome news. I grew up in South Hadley & my local go to camping spot was Judd Park at eastern edge of Mt Holyoke range.

    I don't think most folks realize how much of the Holyoke Range is privately owned. About 10 years ago, a developer wanted to put a housing development right in the Seven Sisters area. Thankfully, the state stepped in, and it didn't happen, but it could still happen elsewhere. Another thousand acres protected would be a big deal.
