Default Zpacks Hexamid DUPLEX Tent Overview

    Hey All,
thought some of you might be interested in seeing an overview of the new Zpacks Duplex tent that has just been released. Its a pretty cool tent in MHO. Made of cuben fiber and checks in at around 20 ounces with everything. Just purchased this tent for my upcoming 2014 thru hike. Let me know what you guys think!

Looks great! I wonder how it compares to the Hexamid Twin in windy conditions. My twin is surprisingly good in the wind. Since I use it solo it has tons of room but the Duplex clearly looks better for two people.

Yes it is a bit pricey but I think it is worth it in the end.

I agree, for the number of times one uses it on a thru and the number of days and miles it is carried very well worth the money for something really light and works well.

Nice video review. But, I think my wife would kill me if I bought another tent. Especially since I already own the Hexamid Solo Plus.

Other than cost, the only negative I see is the fact that you can see through the tent, like being in a fish bowl if there are other campers nearby.

That's for sure. I'd have to be doing a permanent yo-yo on the trail.

I didn't find that to be a big deal this year in the hexamid twin. But then again I only camped near other people a handful of times. And I travel solo. I suspect that going to the optional heavier .74 weight cuben might mitigate the issue to some degree.
