    Exclamation Forest Fire

James River area in Virginia, close to the intersection of SR 130/501 at Snowden.

Fire Fighters are having to cross the James River on the Bill Foot Memorial Bridge (AT) and hike South about a mile on the "AT" to fight the fire!

About 10-A burned so far. They have called in a Helo to drop water on the fire. Weather and wind here is against the firefighters!

No mention as to a cause as yet! Please pray for safety and a QUICK end to the fire. This one is/will affect the "AT"
Cherokee Bill ..... previously known as "billyboy"

As of 5:45pm: "Carl Parsons with the Virginia Department of Forestry says the final size of the fire is 8.5 acres.

It's now fully under control and U.S. Forest Service crews will conduct mop-up operations overnight. The cause of the fire is still under investigation."

I just found this info ^^^^^^
