camel bak UV

I use a Camel Bak UV. It comes in a nice neopreme case, but Im dont like chucking it in my pack.

Does anyone use these and store them in a different container ? Im sure its durable, its just kinda important to have ...

I've recently played with Kydex for making sheaths... If it were me I'd be inclined to whip something up with that and foam. You'd likely have enough extra to make a sheath as well.
